'Of No Idea.' A/D (Analogue/Digital) Sketch Apophenia Series 008.

This process of creating A/D sketches really has become an invaluable aid to my working practice. When studio time is precious but my brain is still whirring at 4am, this accessible process allows me to filter the whirr a little. By taking sketchbook studies into a simple digital medium I can make a start on the painting process before I even have a chance to pick up my brushes. This is not a substitute for painting, and this is by no means a finished work, but it is a productive outlet for something wanting to be expressed, 

As a side note, some of you may notice a nod to Picasso's 'Girl in the Mirror' here. This has always been a favourite painting of mine which my recent trip to New York has reenforced.
